Debi Premier Screening in Maryland

Based on the timeless novel by the revered novelist, playwright and writer Humayun Ahmed – “Debi” brings the character of Ranu ( played by Bangladesh’s International star and six time National Award winning actress Jaya Ahsan ) and the famous character Misir Ali ( played by veteran TV and stage actor of AynaBaji fame Chanchal Chowdhury ) on screen in a social -psychological- thriller drama. “Debi” also features a star cast including Shabnam Faria, Animesh Aich and Iresh Zaker.

The Film is directed by Anam Biswas – who wrote the script of Aynabaji – and this is his debut film as a Director. Jaya Ahsan also debuts as a producer in this Film. The Film also features songs by Anupam Roy, Pritom Hasan and M.G. Kibria.The movie is produced by C for Cinema Productions.

“Debi” is an eagerly awaited film and there has been a keen sustained interest in this Film since it was announced. Bioskope Films brings this eagerly awaited movie for the Bengali audience throughout the United States . The Film is sub-titled in English and the run time is 1 hr 44 min.
